Be open minded to the scale and type of place investment. RMIT as an ‘uniquely urban institution’ should look not just at ‘the campus’, but also other typologies that may be better suited to particular industries, themes or communities. Shopfronts, pop-ups, websites, plug-ins/colocating with partners, media campaigns. There’s so many ways we can build our brand and create place in a ‘uniquely RMIT’ way and integrate with the daily lives of our students.

In Vietnam, we have the premium facility 'Harvard of the Mekhong'. Behind a fence. But we're exploring a Hub model, that serves the life-cycle of a person through to alumni. A place of meeting in the centre of cities. An accessible open RMIT. We've done this in Melbourne. We need to bring some of this thinking to Vietnam. How do we differentiate ourselves and our urban-ness and connected-ness in other places? See less
We need an X space (activators/incubators) that provides a place that people have to visit

The strong sense of community that you feel embraced by when you're on campus is quite powerful. Connectivity between venues. It's rare we're in one spot all day – we need to build this in for staff, how we connect. Technology + physical and emotional connectivity. See less
